My golden Gatsby loves this simple one-pot recipe for a balanced homemade meal. You can also add in your doggy’s favorite vegetables or substitute the turkey for bison or lean grass-fed beef instead. I love to top off Gatsby’s meal with high-quality fish oil to make sure he gets in his Omega-3 fats. These fats are not only beneficial for cancer prevention and immunity, but they provide energy, are necessary for the normal development and function of body cells, nerves, muscles and body tissues. They also reduce the inflammation associated with arthritis, conditions of the bowel, and help prevent heart problems and high blood pressure.

  • Is the serving size per meal or per day? I’m trying to switch my dog to fresh, healthy food but I’m not sure how much to give her on a daily basis. She is 55 lbs, active, and full grown. Thanks!

      • Also, you might also want to talk to your vet about making the diet switch to make sure your doggy is getting enough calories and nutrients. She may need to supplement.

      • Rosemary has been said to cause seizures in small breed dogs. We have miniature schnauzers and we don’t give ourdogs any treats or food that has rosemary or rosemary extract in them. I have left it out when making this recipe.

        • Thank you so much for the feedback, Cheryl. Yes, it will be helpful for our small breed dog owners to use rosemary with caution.
