My dog Gatsby was diagnosed last year with two herniated discs in his back. Rather than put him through an expensive surgery (that the veterinary specialist thought might not even help), I decided to take the more conservative route. Gatsby began going to physical therapy and acupuncture.

Acupuncture helped Gatsby naturally manage his pain and reduce inflammation. Just like with humans, the strategic placement of needles in dogs enhances blood circulation and stimulates the release of hormones with the goal of encouraging the body to correct imbalances.

Physical therapy helped Gatsby learn to use his core so he can be more active. Now he’s back to a healthy weight and stealing food off the counter! Plus he loves to go swimming and the massages by the beautiful vet techs aren’t bad either. 😉
